Acea International, the Acea Group company that operates overseas in the water sector with around ten million inhabitants in Latin America, including Perù, the Dominican Republic and Honduras, through its subsidiary Acea Perù has been awarded the second lot of the tender for water and sewage network maintenance services in the northern Lima district of Callao. Northern Lima’s entire water and sewage network, serving around 4 million people, is therefore managed by Acea Perù; in fact, last July the company was awarded the first lot in the district of Comas, which is also located in the northern area of the town.
The tender, launched by Sedapal, the firm responsible for water distribution in Lima, has a total value of approximately 36 million Euro and a duration of three years.
Acea Perù thus enhances its presence in the country’s water business and contributes towards the territory’s development for the benefit of residents. This award also testifies to the company’s professionalism and technical skills, in support of an increasingly efficient and sustainable use of water resources. In the same area, Acea Perù is already involved in water business management via participation as a majority shareholder in the Consorzio Agua Azul, which is concerned with water collection and purification activities.
Acea, the leading water sector operator in Italy, with 10 million residents served, confirms its international growth strategy in the segment, aimed at expanding its operations in Latin America, in line with the goals set out in the Business Plan. The Group, which has been active for more than twenty years in Central and South America, is today also committed to the Mattei Plan ‘Control Room’, confirming its vocation at domestic and global level.
