Wednesday Discussion with European Commissioner for Environment, Water Resilience and a Competitive Circular Economy Jessika Roswall.

The Acea CEO Fabrizio Palermo is in Davos today to participate in the World Economic Forum, the annual meeting that gathers leaders from all over the world to discuss major global challenges: from the geopolitical situation to improving living standards and managing the energy transition.

"Today we are proud to launch a water alliance. Less than a year ago, when we at Acea presented this vision at Davos, it looked ambitious. After a year of intense work with the World Economic Forum, the Water Industry Community has become a reality, bringing together high-level international expertise at the same table. Just like energy became a strategic focus for the WEF in 2005, water is now officially recognized as a strategic priority, paving the way for a global alliance. Now it is essential that industrial operators, financial stakeholders, and public institutions collaborate to transform our ideas into concrete actions", declares Acea CEO Fabrizio Palermo.

On Wednesday, January 22, Fabrizio Palermo will participate in the panel "Water at a tipping point" (1:15 PM, Kurpark Village – Aspen 3) along with the European Commissioner for Environment, Water Resilience and a Competitive Circular Economy Jessika Roswall: it will be an opportunity to reflect on the challenges of drought and climate change that are endangering productivity, public health, and food security, as well as how to harness technological innovations to address water-related challenges.
